To Hell & Back - Senior Thesis Collection

For my senior thesis fashion collection for my BFA in Fashion Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I created the following collection:

Titled "To Hell and Back," my collection draws inspiration from Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy," specifically the harrowing and transformative journey through the nine circles of Hell. Each piece in the collection embodies the spirit of Dante's epic tale, translating profound literary themes into wearable art. My designs meld romantic elegance with cutting-edge techniques, capturing the contrast between the dark depths of Hell and the hopeful ascent towards redemption.

Crafted for the thoughtful and expressive individual, my collection caters to those who appreciate the blend of narrative depth with innovative fashion. The materials chosen—chiffon for its ethereal quality, fur for its luxury, latex for its boldness, and wet molded leather for its textured richness—each play a role in depicting the emotional and physical landscapes of Dante’s journey.
